A Guided Walk through the Zupa Dubrovacka Countryside to Create Your Own Wall Herbarium
This workshop is for plantspeople and earth lovers who would like to take a walk through the Dubrovnik countryside, feel the land, meet some locals and create something beautiful with their hands to take home as a present or a souvenir.

* * Elixir Vitae Studio is 15 minutes from the Old City gates, taxi, uber or city bus 16A can bring you there if you don’t drive a car.
On this experiential visit to the Dubrovnik countryside you will collect and create an elegant wall herbarium for your home.
After an introduction of the herbarium art project by our herbarium artist, Heather VanWinkle, we will begin with a country walk to collect the natural elements for your project.
Your guide for the walk will be Mikki Kojakovic, a local Zupa resident originally from Australia.
Mikki is a plantswoman and owns a local organic herbs and spices business, Mikki’s Croatian Kitchen. We will take the collected items to Mikki’s garden and sit in the shade of her jasmine arbor to work on our herbarium art project while sipping herbal tea and sharing stories.
Cost: 30€ (includes herbarium frame and construction materials)

What You Need To Know:
Wear tennis shoes for our walk.
There will be about 50 minutes of an easy and accessible countryside walk, some slightly rocky terrain, basic physical fitness required.
Bring a water bottle and some mosquito repellent if you are sensitive.
Timings:
- 5:30pm gather at Elixir Vitae Studio for introduction
- 6pm depart for the guided walk 7pm gather in Mikki’s garden to learn how to make the herbarium wall art – frames will be provided and are included in the cost of the workshop.
- 8pm Wall art complete, casual social time and departures
